LNS || Lis Noir Skincare || Leading Naturals Est. in 2008

LNS started with the intention of offering real, beneficial skin, hair and body care that actually worked. I was working with chemistry many years ago and the knowledge expanded into my daily life often. I had creations that were my favorites like my deodorant and my skin and hair care. With the desire to live more purely after becoming pregnant, I felt venturing from my personal care to help others was my calling. Shortly after having my son I realized I had a tumor. Doctors believe it may have been a combination of environment and exposure. From then on I was bound to create safe, effective bath and body care for all. We can tend to use a lot of products in just ONE day! By using pure formulas, this helps reduce the over all burden on our system.

Always Made From Scratch || Never Mass Produced || Nature Derived, Organic Skin, Body and Hair Care Made Fresh When Ordered. ✨

I offer minimal ingredient, high concentration skincare crafted from nature derived ingredients grown organically and naturally, for real benefits. No product offered comes from a third party manufacturer, guaranteed💞

•Made When Ordered, Fresh like home made cooking.
•All items are handmade from scratch, in house, expertly crafted to synergistically work together for real results.
•Minimal Packaging-No Product Boxes Means Less Waste. All packing material is repurposed, recycle when possible in your local area. I use EcoEnclose Mailers whenever possible 💞

Lis Noir Skincare is NOT mass produced. I do not have out side manufacturing of any of my labels, bases, extracts nor 95% of my herbs. I produce these on my farm in Midwest, Illinois. As more shops expand using outside manufacturing, it is important to educate ourselves on the misinformation being spread for profit. When you shop with me, your items are being crafted for you, by me, from real and beneficial ingredients. No mass produced factory goods here! Shipped directly from me to your home.

🌿Real, food grade skin, hair and body care that feeds with each use. See a positive change!

Clean Skincare Promise! Here is a list of ingredients I will never use in my creations:

Imidazolidinyl Urea and Diazolidinyl Urea — Commonly used preservatives in body wash, shampoo and conditioner. These ingredients have been found to be direct causes of contact dermatitis (American Academy of Dermatology). Two trade names for these chemicals are Germall II and Germall 115. Germall 115 releases formaldehyde at just over 10° creating toxic fumes that can be inhaled and absorbed through the skin.

Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl Paraben — Used as inhibitors of microbial growth and to extend shelf life of products. Widely used due to the minimal health concerns. The issue with these preservatives is they can easily build up in your system if you use multiple products containing them on a daily basis. Parabens can mimic estrogen in your body confusing the communication between pathways.

Petrolatum — Petrolatum is derivative of petro chemicals. Also called mineral oil. Mineral oil is inert to the skin and provides no benefit. Because of this, it can interfere with the body's own natural moisturizing mechanism, blocking real moisture from entering causing dry skin and chapping. Petro chemicals are essentially by products used in the industry due to the high availability/low cost.

PVP/VA Copolymer — A petroleum-derived chemical used in hair product formulas and waterproof cosmetics. It can be considered toxic, since particles may contribute to foreign bodies in the lungs of sensitive persons. This can also be ingested if in lip products.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate — A detergent of very small particle size that easily enters the skin causing irritation. It can cause eye irritation, rashes, hair thinning, and dandruff. Sometimes this surfactant is described as a natural degreaser from coconut.

Triethanolamine (TEA) — Often used in cosmetics to adjust pH and used with many fatty acids to convert acid to salt creating a surfactant(soap). TEA causes allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin. Symptoms can worsen with use.

Phthalate Fragrances — Phthalates are plasticizers that soften plastic to make it more pliable/less rigid. When used in fragrance they help with longevity and throw. Natural scents tend to not last as long and not be as strong as phthalate fragrances. These chemicals mimic estrogen in the body.

Synthetic Colors — This includes Lake Colors, FD&C or D&C such as FD&C Red No. 6 / D&C Green No. 6. Synthetic colors are lab created and are chemicals that confuse our systems. These are easily absorbed through the skin and through the mouth when inhaled or when present in lipstick.

All paper products are recycled, glass is used when possible, and I support recycling/re-purposing of all packaging materials in my orders. Please note plastic used in packing is repurposed.
